SLIDESHOW: Friendly dogs welcome at Beveridge Place Pub
The humans who enter the Beveridge Pub at the Morgan Junction, like in any pub, are permitted to be loud, demonstrative, and drink the wine or beer of their choice. Their dogs that scamper in are equally welcome, but are expected to drink just water, and not to bark. Walk up to the bar and order your favorite ale and you might find a chihuahua below your chair, a shih tzu by your shoes, a dachshund by the dartboard, or maybe a poodle by the pool table.
Owner Gary Sink, a West Seattle resident of 17 years, said the vast majority of his customers welcome the dogs.
"They say 'it's so cool' you have dogs here, and that It makes things more homey," he said. Even people without dogs say this. It gives the pub more of a European feel. You see dogs in pubs in England, France and Germany because pets there are part of the family. When you go out you can bring them. We traveled quite a bit there before opening, and got ideas.
"As long as it behaves and is on the leash it's OK," he said, but warned, "If they bark too much then they gotta' go. "

Funny how the story talks
Funny how the story talks about how cute, and now how it breaks health-code violations, and has caused people not to go there anymore because of their own health issues.
Really, can you not go an hour without a drink and your dog at the same time?
Plan-B
Sure. You can go to the Feedback Lounge next door.
Beveridge Pub
Steve, thank you for showcasing the gem we have at the Morgan Junction-Beveridge Place Pub.
@Guest, BPpub does not violate health codes, because they do not serve food. Please do not spread misinformation. And really, can you not go an hour without a drink in a pub that alone allows this kind distinction. Of the many great places to choose from in West Seattle is there not another one that better deals with your health issues? F.Y.I. I do not belong to a dog.
I do not belong to a dog
I do not belong to a dog either therefore look forward to experiencing the comfort of home at the Beveridge Place Pub....with that extra sparkle of dog companions. Heaven, I'm in heaven!
Dog rules do apply....your dog must be leashed and with at all times, e.g., you go outside to smoke, your dog goes with you; go to the bar to get a drink, your dog goes with you; etc. No barking; no indoor playing. Thank you Beveridge Place Pub for giving me a home away from home.
Beveridge Place Pub
A fun place to go, the dogs just make it even better. I enjoy both the beer and pooches! If you don't like it, then don't go there, it isn't likely the dog-friendly patrons will miss you.
Well i really hope that it
Well i really hope that it will not make any health issues at the Beveridge Place Pub,although it sounds very funny and i just remember that song at the moment "Who let the dogs out" and the people inside the pub will be shouting like this only.
