Dixieland Band celebrates 30 years
A crowd of fans attended the 30th anniversary party of the Duwamish Dixieland Jazz Band to hear them perform Saturday, Jan. 30, at the Senior Center of West Seattle. Washboard player and band member Carol Johnston was also the event's MC. Also performing was octogenarian Lucy Mitchell who sang and played the piano. She is a former UW music student.
