Out for a night adventure dive, Dave Rintoul and his wife Erica approached the beach near the Water Taxi dock.

What's that light underwater?

Dave Rintoul and his wife Erica Rintoul were out for a night adventure dive with a class of other scuba diving students, at the popular dive spot next to the Water Taxi dock on Harbor Avenue. Dave Rintoul is a dive instructor with nine years diving experience, six years as an instructor and his own company called DiveCanuck.net. Dave is member of PADI: Professional Association of Diving Instructors.

On a night adventure dive, "My students were practicing their hand signals for safety, and we actually went to visit an octopus that lives under a wreck of a wreck called the Honey Bear," Rintoul said.

Nice Photo

Nice to meet you tonight Pat. Seacrest Marine Park is one of our favorite places to dive at night. And it's always a treat to introduce new divers to the Giant Pacific Octopus - this one was probably 8-10 FEET across!

That photo was taken with an iPhone 4, no flash, handheld.
Thanks Dave.
