Meanders Restaurant plans to meander next door

As the West Seattle Herald first reported, the former Jade Restaurant became Meanders, a breakfast diner operated by Miranda Krone, at 6023 California Ave. SW:

Last month Krone discussed her intention to expand into the space to her south with the West Seattle Herald but zoning was still up in the air. Now she wants the community to know her plans are approaching reality.

"We have an appointment June 16 with Development and Planning June 16 to try to get the permits to expand next door," she said as she was cooking both artfully and frantically for a full house of customers with more standing by the door waiting for a seat.

"It's only 400 and something square feet, adding about 20 seats," she said of the new space. "I want to make it look like a dining room. To deal with the extra work I'm going to have someone on toast, man, just dealing with the toaster," she said half-jokingly.
