Hit and run of female jogger results in life threatening injuries

Seattle Police were called to the 2300 block of Fairmount Ave. SW Saturday morning June 8, just after 7am responding to a report of an apparently unconscious woman on the side of the road. Investigators think she was jogging and was likely struck by a vehicle. If so that driver did not stop, did not call police or provide information and left the scene.

The victim, a 54 year old woman was treated at the scene and then transported to Harborview Medical Center with life threatening injuries. Traffic Collision Investigation Squad detectives were at the scene and continue to actively investigate.
