Pedestrian Improvements added to Delridge Paving Project

Information from SDOT

The Delridge Paving Project that is rebuilding approximately one and a half miles of Delridge Way SW between SW Orchard and Roxbury streets, and installing new storm water detention capacity beneath much of that, will now add more pedestrian safety improvements. To continue to meet the goals of the Seattle Pedestrian Master Plan, several changes are now being integrated into the project:

· The small one-way northbound section of 17th Avenue SW between Delridge Way SW and SW Cambridge Street will be permanently closed

· The intersection of 17th Avenue SW and Delridge Way SW will be made into an all-way stop

· Curb bulbs will be constructed at 18th Avenue SW and Delridge Way SW to extend the sidewalk and shorten the crossing distance for pedestrians
