Seattle Lutheran was slapped with a loss by Tacoma Baptist in Class 2B volleyball tournament action on Tuesday.

Bainbridge 3, West Seattle 0
West Seattle missed out on the Metro League's No. 3 state seed with Thursday's loss to Bainbridge at the Southwest Athletic Complex.

Now the Wildcats must journey to Liberty High School in Issaquah to play for the final berth in a "pigtail" playoff at 3 p.m. Saturday.

The Wildcats knocked off their half bracket tournament hosts in Thursday's Class 3A Sea-King playoff opener.

Seattle Prep 3, West Seattle 0
West Seattle's Wildcats were defeated by Seattle Prep in their second Sea-King tournament game Thursday.
Now they play Blanchet closer to home at Chief Sealth at 1 p.m. Saturday in a loser-out match.
If they beat the Braves the Wildcats will be guaranteed games at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. needing to win one to go on to next week's state action.

Holy Names 3, Chief Sealth 0
Chief Sealth's Seahawks were eliminated from the half bracket they hosted by Thursday's 3-0 loss to Holy Names.

Chief Sealth
The Seahawks will play a state 3A Round of 32 game Saturday, traveling to Roy Anderson Field to take on the Peninsula Seahawks of Purdy at 7 p.m.

Cross country
State cross country action is being held in the Tri-Cities area Saturday.
