Original Post April 10
If you care about the Duwamish River April 19 is your chance to prove it. Duwamish Alive, an annual river bank clean up and upgrade effort. Sponsored by the Rose Foundation and Keen Footwear. The EPA listed the lower Duwamish River, five miles of which passes through south Seattle, as a Superfund site in 2001. Since then efforts have been made to clean it up, but more work is needed.

The West Seattle Rotary club will install a bench, an interpretive sign, re-grade a manual boat launch, and if time permits take down a few more invasive trees (White Poplars).

You will find Rotary Club members at T-105 and T-107 doing mulching around trees and shrubs that have recently been planted
