Denny and Sealth students part of Naramore Art show at SAM

Since March, artwork by students from Denny and Chief Sealth International have been featured in the annual Naramore Seattle Public Schools Middle and High School Art Show at the Seattle Art Museum (SAM). Friday night marked the awards ceremony that brought out Congressman Jim McDermott and Seattle's Superintendent Jose Banda.

District leaders such as Willie Seals, from the Department of School and Community Partnerships, admired the work of Denny artist taught by Pamela Neithercott. While Sealth's art teacher, Carolyn Autenrieth, captured a small audience describing the assignment and process that led to her student's second place win in the technical category.

The 2014 Naramore show will continue to be on display until May 25th at SAM from 9am-5pm in the first floor corridor.
