Car thief suspect chased and caught in White Center

A suspected car thief had a bad day in White Center on Friday May 23.

According to King County Sheriff's PIO DB Gates, "A deputy attempted to stop a reported stolen car and it refused to stop. There was a short (around 2 minutes) pursuit and then the suspect fled on foot.

Just a short time later, less than 10 minutes, the suspect was taken in to custody. Guardian 1 was up and assisted and a K9 unit was called, but due to the deputies locating the suspect on their own, the dog response was cancelled.

When the suspect bailed out of the stolen car it rolled into another car, causing minor damage.

The suspect is an adult male, 34 years of age, and he's been booked into the KC Jail."
