Gertrude Kinsman Osterberg

Friday, June 02, 2006

Gertrude Kinsman Osterberg passed away peacefully on May 1, 2006 while staying at Belmont Terrace, Bremerton, Washington, where she has resided since having a stroke on Christmas Day 2000. She was born October 17, 1914 in Seattle, Washington and lived there most of her life. She met and married her husband Waldemar Osterberg in 1947. They moved into their home in the Riverview neighborhood of West Seattle where they resided together until his death in 1991. Gertrude and her faithful dog "Trouble" continued to live there until her stroke.

She is survived by a daughter, Alice and her husband Larry Schueller, two grandchildren Jennifer and James, five great-grandchildren and the wonderful loving staff of Belmont Terrace. She is also survived by her sister, May Stewart of Lacey, Washington.

At her request there will be no service. As a memorial please just remember her wonderful, warm smile and pass it on to someone else. She would want it to be that way. Grandma Gertie will always be in our hearts.
