Gathering of Neighbors canceled

This would've been the fourth year of the Gathering of Neighbors but Megawatt, the event's founding organization, decided to cancel this year's event.
The Gathering of Neighbors is an annual event, usually held at West Seattle High School, where community-based organizations across West Seattle set up information booths to explain what they do. Community councils, nonprofit community organizations, clubs and other local groups also learn what organizations in other parts of West Seattle are working on.
Megawatt spent much of this year reassessing its own purpose and priorities. In addition, the community improvement group moved into new headquarters at the new West Seattle Community Service Center.
Megawatt intends to restart the Gathering of Neighbors again in fall 2008.
