" We are tour operators that have just begun offering a new program to Greece. It would be a perfect fit for high school students and the cost would be substantially less. Our Classical Greece by Sea uses easyCruiseOne, a 200+ passenger small ship, as a floating hotel. It's a no-frills type of program but definitely clean, comfortable and suitable for those who want to see as much of Greece as possible in a short period of time. Our JFK price is $999 and includes flights, transfers, 7 nights aboard the cruise, breakfast and dinner daily, and port taxes. Seattle additional airfare would probably add another couple of hundred dollars, and a 5-day package of optional tours, including lunch, is only $175 per person. So, looks like this could be a much less expensive venture for your group. We also offer Egypt at very good pricing, so keep us in mind next time you're planning a school trip. Please check this out for future tours. http://www.friendlyplanet.com/classical-greece-sea.html "

" The American Farm School near Thessaloniki, Greece has a wonderful summer program for high school age students call "Greek Summer". I had participated in the Farm School's Summer Works Activities Program (SWAP) for college age students and had worked with the kids from the Greek Summer program when they were at the Farm School. These two programs are great and I've been a friend of the Farm School ever since.
