Margaret J. Wright

Tuesday, February 12, 2008

Margaret Jeanette Wright, 91, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008. She was born to Chris and Christina Wold on Sept. 19, 1916 in Seattle. She graduated from West Seattle High School in 1935, married William F. Wright in 1938, music educator, and lived in West Seattle almost all her life.

Margaret was loved by everyone. As a young adult she worked as a secretary for prominent attorneys in Seattle. She was a wife, mother and homemaker. She spent many years working in retail sales and was an early product demonstrator at local grocery stores, where she would set up her card table and equipment and typically sell the store out of whatever product she was demonstrating. Her smile and conversation endeared her to strangers and lifelong friends. Most recently, she was a friend to many at Daystar Retirement Village where she lived until her death.

Her husband Bill preceded her in death, in 1996. She is survived by her three children. Catherine Wright of Port Ludlow, Barbara (Bill) Rosendahl of Vashon Island, and Fred Wright of Wilsonville, (OR); by her sister, Mildred Zitkovitch, grandchildren Shelley Sexton, Colin Sexton (Steve), Amy Dearborn, Jody Dearborn, great-grandchildren Jordan Sexton and Ryli Robinson, as well as her niece and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be Monday, Feb. 18, at 1 p.m. at the Swedish Cultural Center, 1920 Dexter Avenue North, in Seattle. Please visit www.mem.com to share a special memory.
