Rustic cabins are available for rent at this wonderfully hidden park named for Seattle juvenile court Judge William G. Long. Many a West Seattle student has learned about nature or tackled the climbing rock there. Camp Long includes an environmental-education area, interpretive center, cabins and picnic shelters for rent, rock-climbing instruction and nature-related classes. Find out about the park's recently discovered barred owl family on a guided nature walk or take on the 55.7 acres worth of trails on your own. One of the trails loops down to Longfellow Creek. For more information on the Delridge Valley's urban creek reclamation project, Longfellow Creek watershed educator Sheryl Shapiro is based in the Camp Long lodge. The park site's bathrooms and some of the wooded walkways are ADA-accessible.
