As a society, we often want youth to 'stay out of trouble'...but we often don't want to fund activities for them which are positive and keep them busy. And if we do fund a public activity, we often dont want it in our neighborhood. Seems illogical to me.
The skateboarders I know are regular neighborhood kids. Personally, I enjoy watching the amazing control these kids have over those boards. They are having a great time while getting some exercise--and guess whatthey are not robbing your house.
They manage have these parks in Greymouth, New Zealand and Whistler, Canadais it that hard to have one in West Seattle?
