Businesses come through

Thursday, August 28, 2008

The West Seattle Hi-Yu hosted a continental breakfast prior to the American Legion Grand Parade. Visiting courts, Seafair princesses, and many Hi-Yu and Seafair volunteers attended. This traditional event could not occur without the generosity of many West Seattle businesses.

Once again the residents of Merrill Gardens at Admiral Heights opened their lovely home to us. West Seattle's own Mark Brown arranged and delivered coffee and condiments donated by Seattle's Best Coffee. Zatz Bagels provided an assortment of fresh bagels; Alki Bakery, a variety of tasty baked goods; Great Harvest provided delicious cinnamon rolls; and the Husky Deli gave a lovely fresh fruit tray. The Metropolitan Market and the Morgan Street Thriftway gave generous gift cards which were used to purchase water, juice, and yogurt.

We wish to publicly thank and acknowledge these businesses. Their community spirit is awesome!
