The West Seattle Big Band plays swing and jazz standards around the area. The group's mission is to raise money for local public school's music programs.
Westside Symphonette Orchestras

Junior Symphonette: No audition is required, though the musician should have completed at least one year of instruction on an instrument. Rehearsals are 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesdays. Symphonette Orchestra: Open to young people who play string, woodwind, brass or percussion instruments. An informal audition is required. Rehearsals are 6:30 to 8 p.m., Tuedays. Adult musicians mentor/coaches are encouraged to join either group. Both groups rehearse in the Chief Sealth High School music rooms, 2601 S.W. Thistle St. |
