Fresh Bistro signs lease in new Mural apartments
Wednesday, November 19, 2008
Harbor Properties Inc., developers of the 136 unit, seven-story Mural apartment building announced the restaurant Fresh Bistro has signed a five year lease for the 2,700 square foot commercial space.
Located on 42nd Avenue Southwest in the Junction neighborhood, the Mural is currently under construction and scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2009. Fresh Bistro will also open to the public at that time.
The restaurant, which will house a fireplace in addition to outdoor and private seating, is being opened by BJ Duft, who also owns the West Seattle-based catering company Herban Feast Catering.
Denny Onslow, executive vice president and chief development officer at Harbor, said his company searched out a business that would help build a strong connection between Mural and the West Seattle community.
"€śWe'€™re extremely excited about Fresh opening at Mural," said Onslow. "The restaurant is owned by a West Seattleite and the focus of the menu and dining experience will be the bounty of the Northwest."
"Fresh Bistro will embody the essence of the community with an inviting, intimate environment and local, seasonal dishes," said Duft. "We are excited to become an even more integrated part of the West Seattle neighborhood.
The Mural is named in honor of the 11 historical murals around the neighborhood that celebrate West Seattle's heritage.
