Walter has his own dog blog!

Tuesday, December 02, 2008

Q: How old is he?

A: Walter is 3 ½ years old. His birthday is March 3rd.

Q: What does he weigh?

A: Walter weighs 7 ½ pounds. It's mostly fur.

Q: What is his breed?

A: We cannot take the boy anywhere without at least 10 people asking what kind of dog he is and Walter loves the attention. He is part Yorkshire Terrier and part Powderpuff Chinese Crested. And he got the best of both breeds. When we adopted him, he had two brothers with the Hairless Crested trait.

Q: Please tell us any cute, funny, or touching behaviors he exhibits.

A: He's a kisser. He paddles all the water out of his water bowl when he's hot. When you talk to him, he cocks his head back and forth. It's because he?s listening. He is a very smart boy. He loves people. And kids. He's extremely athletic and can run like the wind. He loves being scratched on his belly and he digs a bed when he?s tired. He hates bikers. He barks when he hears a doorbell on TV?we don?t have a doorbell anymore. He thinks he?s human.

Q: Does he have any friends or favorite toys or foods?

A: His favorite food is Chicken. He knows it by name. He LOVES tennis balls, but only the green ones. He loves playing fetch and can fit a tennis ball in his mouth (most small dogs can't). He loves popcorn, tuna, salmon, pickles, turkey bacon and bananas (though, his parents rarely let him get his paws on people-food). He hates blueberries, lettuce and olives. Greenlake and Westcrest Park are his favorite places in the world. He loves to jump into Greenlake and swim after the ducks.

A few of his many nicknames are: Walt, Wally, Schmitty and Buddy

His favorite website is Walter the Dog Blog where his mama posts a photo of him every day so his fans can see what he's up to on a daily basis:

" Thrilled to see the article on Walter. It's not every woman who is lucky enough to have a great=granddog as wonderful as Walter. Walt, Wally, Scmitty or Buddy.
He and his parents make me soooo proud.
