Community kitchen

Enjoy home-cooked meals without having to find a recipe or shop for ingredients. Together, we’ll cook in bulk, then divide up the feast to take home. No experience necessary. $15 PNA member, $20 nonmember.

Sustainable food

Come learn about community gardening movements, including reflections on the wartime victory gardens, information about Seattle’s P-Patch program and ways to support the development of a P-Patch in our neighborhood.

Free craft class

Purpose and meaning

July 9 and 16. This discussion will focus on key findings from the 2nd Annual Positive Aging Conference from earlier this year. We will watch the DVD from the conference and partake in a dialogue on how we can maintain vitality as we age. Free.

Healing grief

Come learn more about a six-week program offered by Swedish Hospital that uses classical music and individual imagery expressed on paper to help grieve the death of a loved one. Free.

Baseball camp

July 6 – 10: fielding, July 13 – 17: hitting, July 20 – 24: total baseball, July 24 – 31: advanced hitting. For 8 – 12 year olds, $130 per session. Bring baseball cap, mitt, long pants, water and lunch. Call or come in to register.

Interspiritual children’s class

Sunday mornings, 10 – 11:15 a.m. For ages 3 through 12. Age appropriate values based spiritual education that embraces all faiths and cultures. Learning is through song, story and games. Pre-registration not required. For more info call 783-1618.

Spaghetti dinner

$5/dinner, $2/pie. Bring your family and friends for this delightful dinner. Enjoy spaghetti, garlic bread, salad and good conversation.

Pickle ball

Mondays, 7 – 8:45 p.m. $2 for adults, $1 for seniors, kids under 18 free.
