'Got Milk?' Tour at Woodland Park Zoo

The national "got milk?" Milk Mustache Mobile Tour will be cruising to the Woodland Park Zoo and hosting free events to encourage residents to “Milk the Moment” with their families, serve milk at dinnertime and educate Americans on the array of benefits and nutrients milk has to offer. The tour also offers moms a chance to share how they “milk the moment” at dinnertime for a chance to win an unforgettable family dinner with Milk Mustache celebrity and Chef Tyler Florence.

Greenwood Park Expansion Community Meeting

The public is invited to participate in a community meeting to refine the conceptual plans to expand Greenwood Park. Vision Greenwood Park is a volunteer group of local neighbors. The meeting will be facilitated by Site Workshop, a Seattle-based landscape architecture firm.

Golden Gardens Playground Meeting 2

Seattle Parks and Recreation invites you and your family to the second of three meetings with the design team for the Golden Gardens Play Area Improvements. Parks will present schematic design alternatives for the new play area and continue the discussion on play equipment options that began at the first meeting in early April. On April 20, Parks approved the relocation of the play area to the lawn east of the Golden Gardens Bathhouse. North Beach Combined Sewer Overflow Information Session

Project managers and technical staff will answer questions the county has received to date from community members, including how flows were calculated, why parks are among the sites being considered for location of the new facilities, the feasibility of “green” infrastructure, how much storage capacity is needed to effectively control CSOs, and how a project might impact a neighborhood during and after construction.
