What: The Cornhole Champions Cup is a progressive tournament that is held on three separate dates (3/16, 4/13, 5/11). Similar to NASCAR's Nextel Cup Series, points are compiled over the course of 3 separate tournaments. Critical Lass goes to Bike Expo Fashion Show!

What: Critical Lasses will gather at the Hub & Bespoke Fremont store at 11 a.m. That will give us plenty of time to travel to and wander around Bike Expo in Smith Cove – and still get good seats for the fashion show from 1:15 to 2 p.m. We'll regroup at 2:30 p.m. after the fashion models have finished signing autographs. Maybe they’ll even join us on our return trip back to our starting location in Fremont no later than 3:30 p.m.

Earthquake Home Retrofit Classes @ Ballard Library

What: Homeowners can take steps to “mitigate” or reduce the earthquake hazard to your home. Home retrofitting is the mitigation process of bolting a wood-frame home to its foundation and providing sheer/pony wall strength. The goal is to increase a home’s structural integrity, but does not mean it is “earthquake proof” (as there is no such thing).

Public Hearing on Opportunity Fund Recommendations @ Parks HQ

Meeting on neighborhood traffic control @ Broadview Public Library

What: These meetings are geared toward residents who are interested in working with SDOT concerning speeding on their residential street. Topics include traffic calming options, what steps a neighborhood must take to be considered for traffic calming, criteria staff use to prioritize projects, and possible funding sources.
