Duwamish Rowing Club begins March 1

Duwamish Rowing Club is rowing! Beginning Saturday March 1st.

Show up at the boathouse at 9 a.m. S.Elmgrove between 10th Ave S. & 12th Ave S., South Park.

The schedule for this season based on the tides will be:

Saturdays 9 a.m.-noon
Tuesdays 5:30 pm-7:30 pm
Thursdays 5:30-7:30

On a few of these days the tide will not cooperate. On those days Mike will try to set up with the Community Center for us to work out on the ergs.  read more »

3 x 3 Basketball Tournament to benefit Treehouse for Kids March 15

The West Seattle High School Sophomore class is hosting a 3 x 3 Basketball Tournament “206 BANG OUT” on Saturday, March 15th which will benefit Treehouse and help improve lives of foster kids in our community.

This event is for players 6th – 12th grade with divisions for all skill levels.

It will take place on Saturday, March 15th from 9-3pm in the WSHS Gym.

The cost is $20 dollars per team.

Duwamish Alive! An Earth Corps Event April 19

Duwamish Alive collaborates with community, municipalities, non-profits and businesses within the Duwamish River watershed to preserve and enhance habitat for people and wildlife, towards improving the health of Puget Sound. As a Duwamish Alive member organization, EarthCorps supports this vision of creating a River for All. Hundreds of volunteers will work with Duwamish Alive member organizations to make a huge impact on the health of the Duwamish River Watershed.  read more »

The Youngstown Cultural Arts Center (YCAC) will throw a birthday party celebration called Youngstown Thrive 8 on Saturday, March 1st, 2014, celebrating the eighth year it has served as an arts and cultural hub for the community. It is located at 4408 Delridge Way S.W.
