Deanna Martin from King County Transit will be providing updates on the scheduled transit service changes to White Center and beyond. Additionally, questions regarding safety at bus stops along 15th Avenue, as well as the 2 zone fare issue will be discussed.
We also welcome Nancy Woodland, Executive Director, Westside Baby who will update the community on what is happening at Westside Baby, as well as the "homeless summits" that she has been heading in White Center.

Finding Kind documentary shows the effects of mean girls March 14

The Explorer West Parent Community Network invites community members to a screening of “Finding Kind”, a documentary that brings awareness and healing to the effects of meaness within the “girl world”. This filmmaker’s journey is to share the personal experiences of girls and women, and help find a common ground of kindness and mutual respect. There will be a facilitated discussion afterwards. "Finding Kind" is recommended for students in and above middle school (11 years old and up).

Chief Sealth International High School is holding a "Prospective Student Open House" Thursday, Feb 9, from 5:45 to 8:00 p.m.

Free Red Cross emergency preparedness classes in White Center, Jan. 9-12

Free Red Cross emergency preparedness classes will take place next week at the Salvation Army in White Center.

Free admission, free dinner and free childcare will be provided.

Meetings for residents will be held on Monday and Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Business owners will have classes on Wednesday and Thursday at the same time, and the week will culminate with a community mixer on Friday, Jan. 13 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
