Alki Art Fair July 23 -24

Art vendors, food vendors and a music stage plus other performing arts are all part of the Alki Art Fair July 23, from 10:00 am to 6:00pm. More than 75 vendors are expected to take part.

2011 is a special year due to the centennial celebration of the Alki Bathhouse (1911 – 2011). A quick trip inside the bathhouse will reveal historical displays.

West Seattle Rotary Club Kids Parade 10 AM

Kids are invited to decorate bikes, trikes, wagons and more and come along with brothers, sisters, cousins, and pets for the Rotary Club of West Seattle Kid's Parade Saturday July 23 at 10:00 am.

That 10:00 am time is for registration and balloons. The actual parade itself begins at 11:00 am beginning at Genesee Street s.w. on California Ave. s.w. and continuing through the West Seattle Junction.

The parade is open to all children's groups and kids.

American Legion Post 160 will start the West Seattle Parade along California Ave. at 11:00 am

The start point is S.W. Lander Street in the Admiral District with the parade heading south along California to just past the junction, ending at s.w. Edmunds Street.

This year watch for the All City Marching Band, composed of students from across the City of Seattle and the Kennedy High School Band.

The Seattle Police Motorcycle Drill Team, exclusive to the West Seattle Parade will perform and are hosting the Vancouver BC Police Drill Team in their only Seattle appearance.  read more »

2011 West Seattle Hi-Yu Community Breakfast

West Seattle Hi-Yu invites the Community to Breakfast! Our annual breakfast will be held Saturday July 16th at the Admiral Congregational Church Hall, 4320 SW Hill Street.

Breakfast will be served from 9:00am to Noon, prices are $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for kids under 12, all money raised supports the Scholarship Program for Women.
