Our "April Showers Bring May Flowers" fundraising brunch will bring outstanding knowledge and interesting stories about seniors.

West Seattle See Dogs meeting- Train a puppy for the blind

West Seattle See Dogs, a local puppy raising club for Guide Dogs for the Blind, needs volunteers to spend a year or so teaching puppies good house manners and introducing them to the world.

At the meeting learn what’s involved and meet puppies in training.

FAUNTLEROY NEIGHBORHOOD EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS MEETING

Support from the city, Fauntleroy Community Association and the Fauntleroy Church and YMCA is helping to organize the local neighborhood around FCUCC to get prepared in case of an emergency or disaster.

This meeting will focus on sharing information on personal and family preparedness (creating a family disaster plan, a supply kit, out of area contact and more) and deciding if the local community wants to prepare together to care for each other during a major disaster (aka The Big One).  read more »

The West Seattle Junction Merchants are sponsoring the "Junction’s Tax Free Day for All.” April 17. The event will feature tax-free purchases and discounts on products and services from 30 different merchants in the Junction. It will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
