Melanine Wells, Pet Elements Owner explains, 'AFF is an amazing, West Seattle based animal rescue group and will have at least one of their featured dogs there, along with photos and stories of all their adoptable dogs. Now, it’s time to put the pieces together and make it happen! We’ll discuss the various options available, and together design the stepping-stones to get where we need to go!

The Admiral Theater presents the first film ever played here: Weekend in Havana

January 22, 1942, the newly renovated Admiral Theater located in West Seattle debuted, boasting unique filmic innovations and an incredible art deco, nautical appearance, unlike anything Seattle had ever seen.

Built by the same architect that created the Hollywood Pantages, the theater showcased unique murals and etched seahorse glass chandeliers. The theater cost over $200,000 and charged outrageous admissions; adults 35 cents and children, a whopping 11 cents.  read more »

At this first meeting, Parks will introduce the designers from HBB Landscape Architects and will present the project, discuss potential locations and layout and begin a dialogue with the public on schematic design.

Golden Gardens Play Area Renovation, identified in the Parks & Green Spaces Levy, provides for the replacement of play equipment, improvement to site circulation and access, and upgrades to meet current safety and Americans with Disabilities Act standards.  read more »
