Cass Turnbull on Weeding and Pruning

Cass Turnbull of PlantAmnesty fame will be providing a clinic on weeding and pruning. This presentation will be open to the public and will be a perfect event for those of all levels of gardening experience. Those who want to participate in the Planter Stewardship program to maintain the planters on 14th Ave NW are encouraged to attend. The clinic will be followed by a hands on clinic in the East Ballard neighborhood the morning of the Oct. 16 in conjunction with 14th Ave NW Adopt A Street Cleanup. Location TBD.

Home Research 201: Delve Deeper Into Your Home's History

A free lecture sponsored by the Ballard Historical Society. Greg Lange will use his research of a 1902 house in Fremont to guide you through the process of researching an old home. He'll bring maps, tax records and directories that you would explore on a visit to the Puget Sound Regional Archives.
