Alki Art Fair July 19-20

We have an awesome roster of artists for 2014 including painters and photographers, jewelry and textile artists, sculptors, potters and more.

With three stages of musical acts performing all weekend, concessions and a silent auction, it makes for a lovely weekend event to enjoy with the whole family. The Alki Art Fair is not only a blast for adults but we’ve got art activities for the kiddos too!

Public is Invited to Attend Carnival June 6
Fundraiser supports Mount View PTA and sister school in Honduras

The public is invited to attend the Mount View Elementary Carnival, benefiting its PTA and its sister school in Honduras.

Money raised at the carnival will go to Light of Esperanza, a non-profit that is renovating the village school in Vega Redonda, Honduras, Mount View’s sister school. A portion of the proceeds will go to the school’s PTA for the 2014-2015 school year.  read more »

Zumbathon fundraiser for Transitional Resources at OLA Salon

Ola Salon has partnered with EQ fitness to push to the finish for Ola’s campaign to raise $10,000 for Transitional Resources. Together with the support of local sponsors, they will hold a two-hour Zumbathon® Charity Event on Sunday, May 18 from 1:00-3:00 pm at the WSCC 42nd Ave Community Center. The event will raise funds for our local mental health agency, which provides mental health services and housing for men and women from our community who are living with serious mental illness.  read more »
