Fundraiser supports dual language immersion program

The public is invited to attend the Mount View Elementary Carnival, benefiting its dual language immersion program and its sister school in Honduras.

Money raised at the carnival will go to Light of Esperanza, a non-profit that is renovating the village school in Vega Redonda, Honduras, Mount View’s sister school.

A portion of the proceeds will also help purchase Spanish language books for the school’s library.  read more »

The Cambodian Cultural Alliance (CCAW) is hosting a free community celebration for the Cambodian New Year. There will be activities celebrating the cambodian culture for all ages, including alms to local monks, classical performances, a fashion show, games, and a live band you can dance to.

The North Delridge Neighborhood Council, along with the City of Seattle’s Department of Parks and Recreation, will be hosting the 6th Annual Delridge Day Festival on Saturday, August 18 at the Delridge Community Center and Park. The park, with new playfield and skatepark, is the neighborhood’s central gathering spot offering activities for all ages.

West Seattle Summerfest
The 30th year of celebrating West Seattle in the summer as Summerfest kicks off July 13 and runs through Sunday, July 15.

This year the event will feature more than 150 craft and import vendors, the Art Dive where dozens of local artists will be showcased in one tent, lots of "fest food" from street vendors and the well known Junction watering holes many with sidewalk cafes in place for the event.
