West Seattle Little League is holding their baseball try-outs for both the Majors and Minors divisions this Sunday, March 6th at Hiawatha playfield, located next to West Seattle High School.

Majors, ages 10-12 , check-in at 9:00 am
Minors, ages 8-10 check in 12:30
Walk ups are welcome.

West Seattle Golf Course Driving Range review meeting #2

The second public meeting to discuss the installation of a double deck golf driving range at West Seattle Golf Course as part of the city of Seattle's Golf Master Plan will be held Sept. 15. This meeting will reflect response from the first meeting, held August 4.

Seattle Integrated Martial Arts '300 Challenge'

Seattle Integrated Martial Arts is conducting a Kickboxing Fitness Challenge on Friday, July 2nd at 6:00 PM. We are calling it the "300 Challenge". There are prizes and gifts for participants including a free t-shirt provided by Seattle Logo Pro! There are a few levels of this challenge as well as a few options to participate.

World Harmony Run

The World Harmony Run is a global relay that will be passing through Seattle on its way through all 50 states.

The runners, who are carrying a flaming torch as a symbol of harmony, plan to arrive at The Mount at 2 p.m. for a short ceremony.

Providence Mount St. Vincent administrator Charlene Boyd will accept a “Torch-Bearer Award” to honor her commitment to promoting harmony between generations and between cultures in our community.

Everyone is welcome to participate and carry the torch for a few steps around The Mount.

Former Sonic Nick Collison at Majestic Bay

Meet NBA star and former Seattle Sonic Nick Collison at the Majestic Bay Theatre for a special showing of "Hoosiers" to benefit the program "Courts for Kids." A Shoreline school is planning to build a basketball court in Costa Rica and teach the children basketball skills. This is their fundraiser. Admission is $10 and it is tax deductible.
