Sustainable West Seattle Winter Celebration
Winter Celebration @ Duwamish Longhouse Dec. 10
December 10, 2010
6:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Keeping with Sustainable West Seattle’s new traditions, December 10, Friday, will be our annual Winter Celebration Potluck which we hold at the Duwamish Longhouse.
Join Friends, Neighbors, Colleagues and Enjoy Music ** Really Good Food (which you will, of course, help bring) ** Dancing ** Door Prizes ** and an opportunity to learn about the Duwamish Tribe.
Starting in the late afternoon we will have potluck provided by SWS and partner organizations (Solar Washington, Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association, Northwest EcoBuilding Guild and Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition) and music provided by The Starlings and Moe Provincher.
The Duwamish Longhouse is on West Marginal Way and is – alas – not accessible by public transit. Carpooling is recommended as there is scant parking at the Longhouse, though there is additional parking across the street and north at the T-105 Port of Seattle public park. The Longhouse is also the tribal museum for the Duwamish Tribe and there is plenty to see, read and learn in their longhouse so come join us for the Winter Celebration.
