Join instructor Amy Ecklund, as she welcomes you in to the basics of using small powertools such as circular saws, jigsaws, powerdrills, impact drivers, nail guns, and miter saws. As part of the class, you’ll demonstrate what you’ve learned by building a take-home, cedar planter box.

As a bonus, this class counts as the required safety credit at The Tool Library’s Community Workshop. After the class ends at 11am, all participants will also have the option to be walked one-on-one through a number of larger tools such as the bandsaw, tablesaw, and router table.

(Amy's class is the beginner level safety class for The Community Workshop. If you think an intermediate level class might be more your speed, take a look at Doug Elfline's Beyond the Basics class on June 11th, 10:30-11:30am: http://www.meetup.com/West-Seattle-Tool-Library/events/21279191/)
