Admiral Neighborhood Children's Parade July 4
Kids, parents, fire engines, and more will fill the street for the annual Admiral Neighborhood Parade on the 4th. Everyone gathers near the intersection of 44th Ave. s.w. and Sunset Ave. s.w. before the 10:00 am starting time to track the parade route over to the Hamilton Viewpoint for a post parade celebration.
Parade starts at 44th Avenue SW and Sunset Avenue SW; moves south on Sunset to SW Atlantic Street; then east on Atlantic to Palm Avenue SW; north on Palm into Hamilton View Point Park. No closures associated with parade, but expect congestion as there will be rolling slowdowns as the parade moves along. Seattle Police will escort.
This will mark the 17th year of the event.
Here's a link to a video from the 2010 event to give you a flavor of it.
The parade means a rerouted #55 metro bus but it's all worth it.
