Zumbathon fundraiser for Transitional Resources at OLA Salon
Ola Salon has partnered with EQ fitness to push to the finish for Ola’s campaign to raise $10,000 for Transitional Resources. Together with the support of local sponsors, they will hold a two-hour Zumbathon® Charity Event on Sunday, May 18 from 1:00-3:00 pm at the WSCC 42nd Ave Community Center. The event will raise funds for our local mental health agency, which provides mental health services and housing for men and women from our community who are living with serious mental illness.
The fun will be led by certified Zumba® instructors, who will lead the group through an exciting workout that people of all levels can follow. Participants can sign up as individuals or as a team at www.letsdancefortr.blogspot.com/ for a suggested donation of $40 per person in advance or $50 at the door. Local organizations are encouraged to sign up as a team and compete to raise the most funds for our community! The first 75 dancers will each receive a swag bag full of local goodies.
Rachel Karlin, owner of Ola said, “We can’t wait to throw this dance party. It will be a blast and a great way to introduce the community to the work that TR does. We know that everyone will leave feeling good, mentally and physically.”
