Ronald Kay Kenny, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving children on January 6, 2008. He was born to Edward and Mildred Kenny on March 15, 1935. He was a lifetime resident of West Seattle, graduated from West Seattle High School and was an active member of the Masons and Shriners. |

Beverley Irene Burtch was born in Butte, Montana to Russell and Sophie Morrison on June 29, 1924. She died on January 16, 2008 in Seattle. Beverley was the beloved wife of 49 years of Charles Burtch, sister of Margaret Breen (of Butte, Mont.) and mother of Deeann Puffert and husband Rich (of Seattle), and Gary Burtch and wife Heather (of Pittsburgh, Pa.). She took great joy in her four grandchildren Grace and Laurel Puffert, and Kelly and Luke Burtch. Beverley loved community service, especially when it involved children and youth. |

Lillie Mae Thurston, Alki resident since 1945 passed December 14, 2007. Beloved wife of Richard A., devoted and loving mother of Jeri and Richard C. Cherished grandmother of Nell Chonle and Jennifer Garcia, great grandmother of Lindsay and Christopher Garcia, devoted sister of Lois Daniels, Buck Bennett, Nell Fleming and Cooter Glover. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her. |
Carole Swenson, beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend left us unexpectedly on December 31, 2007. Carole had no enemies and was loved by all those she touched. |
Passed away on December 24, 2007 at 92. He was born May 6, 1915 in Huntley, MN to Homer and Rosa Ellen Parsons as one of five children. Lloyd married Dorothy Lien (from Delavan, MN) on May 5, 1940 in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They had three children: Kay, Judy and Jeff. In 1942, Lloyd and Dorothy moved to Seattle where he worked at the Shipyards as a sheet metal worker. In 1944 he was called to serve as a Seabee. Dorothy and the girls lived in Delavan while he was gone. When he came back from Guam they returned to the northwest and raised their family in Seattle. |

Doris Jansen Gillespie was born October 28, 1911 in Seattle, WA where she resided for her entire life with the exception of 2 school years spent in Seward Alaska, w/ Summers at that time at the Fauntleroy beach. Her parents were Charles Henry Jansen & Jennie Louise Jansen, nee Wright (of family stock arriving before statehood). She graduated from the original Lafayette Grade School & West Seattle High School, entered the UW at age 16, and graduated w/ a degree in medical social work at age 20. |
A long time West Seattle resident passed away November 27th after complications from a brain aneurysm at Harborview Medical Center. |
