Born Ronald Phillip Cartwright May 28, 1947, passed away at his home in Seattle on Dec.18, 2007. He grew up and graduated from high school in Troy, Montana, served in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1968. Married Judy Smith of Libby, Montana, moved to Seattle, was a member of IBEW local 46 for 39 years. Survivors are wife Judy, sons Ross Cartwright of Seattle, Wash. and Mark Cartwright and daughter--in-law Tammy of North Bend, Wash. A memorial will be held at a later date. Suggested contributions may be made to Swedish Hospice or charity of choice in Ron's name.

Lillie Mae Thurston, Alki resident since 1945 passed December 14, 2007. Beloved wife of Richard A., devoted and loving mother of Jeri and Richard C. Cherished grandmother of Nell Chonle and Jennifer Garcia, great grandmother of Lindsay and Christopher Garcia, devoted sister of Lois Daniels, Buck Bennett, Nell Fleming and Cooter Glover. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Carole Swenson, beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend left us unexpectedly on December 31, 2007. Carole had no enemies and was loved by all those she touched.

Carole Lorraine Cathey was born on October 22, 1947 to Marquis Leonard and Dorothy Marie Cathey and spent her sixty joy-filled years as a Seattle resident. Carole graduated from West Seattle High School in 1965 and joined the phone company. She spent thirty years with US West Communications where she met dear friends and her husband and life companion, Gus Swenson.

Passed away on December 24, 2007 at 92. He was born May 6, 1915 in Huntley, MN to Homer and Rosa Ellen Parsons as one of five children. Lloyd married Dorothy Lien (from Delavan, MN) on May 5, 1940 in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They had three children: Kay, Judy and Jeff. In 1942, Lloyd and Dorothy moved to Seattle where he worked at the Shipyards as a sheet metal worker. In 1944 he was called to serve as a Seabee. Dorothy and the girls lived in Delavan while he was gone. When he came back from Guam they returned to the northwest and raised their family in Seattle.

A long time West Seattle resident passed away November 27th after complications from a brain aneurysm at Harborview Medical Center.

Born February 20, 1938 in Yakima, WA, Lee lived in West Seattle for more than 40 years in Alki Beach, Admiral District and the West Seattle Junction areas. Lee was an outstanding graphic artist and was Art Director at Jay Jacobs and the Bon Marche'. She also enjoyed teaching aerobics and other various classes at Hiawatha, High Point and Delridge Community Centers. Lee was also involved with the Northwest Boychoir.

Passed into the arms of our Heavenly Father after a 9-month struggle with Pancreatic Cancer. Janine leaves behind her two loving children, son Joaquin Garcia (age 26) & daughter Karina Garcia-Delacroix (age 16). Also her sister Glennis De Vere (Jack Arnett), her brother Michael Worden (Patricia) nephews Nicholas Kamilos (Adina) and Nathan Worden & great niece Sophia Kamilos. Also, aunts, uncles & cousins. Memorial service was held Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Our beloved Ginger left us on December 25, 2007, Christmas Day. Her family and community are now filled with missing her and remembering what we shared with her.

Ginger was the youngest child of Chase and Lynne Dealey, born on February 6, 1961. She grew up in West Seattle, graduating from West Seattle High School as her siblings had before her and attending Westside Presbyterian Church. She kept contact with several high school buddies and people with whom she used to work.

At the time of her death, Ginger lived in Enumclaw, Washington with her daughter, Lauren.
