Passed away Tuesday, September 12th at Providence Mount St. Vincent. She is survived by her son Paul, daughter-in-law Daris, and granddaughters Jessika and Jennifer (Carlos). Gertrud was born March 5,1921 in Graz, Austria the only child of Fredrich and Christine Lang. The family moved to Linz, Austria where her electrical engineer father opened an electrical design and parts shop. Trudi was the bookkeeper for the family business. She was an avid skier and tennis player and met her future husband, Herbert Smith, on a tennis court. The couple were engaged in 1954 and married in 1955.

Maria Beldi was born in Kronstadt, Romania. The youngest of five daughters to Julia and Johann Nedwed. She was schooled in Kronstadt and enjoyed hiking, biking, running, swimming and alpine skiing.

In 1945, the Soviet Union occupied Romania. Maria and middle sister Elizabeth stayed behind to care for their elderly mother. They were captured and forced to work in Siberian Labor coal camps.

Long time West Seattle resident passed away peacefully on September 14th. Herb was born in the present day ghost town of Gilmore, Idaho on December 1, 1917. He was descendent of Martin Harris who helped to found the Mormon Church. Herb's family and his mother's family, the Neville's, moved to West Seattle via Model T Fords in 1923. Herb went to Gatewood Elementary and graduated from West Seattle High School where he met and married his devoted wife, Lorraine, of 66 years. Herb was proud to have served under John D. Bulkeley on the USS Endicott DD 495 as a welder during WWII.

At the age 85, AnnaLee Camerer; comforted by her loving children and grandchildren, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 6, 2006. She loved her family, had a wonderful sense of humor, and brought joy to those she met. She was never judgmental, accepted all who crossed her path and had a heart of generosity and service. She was born in Shawnee Oklahoma in 1921 and grew up loving horses. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Milton Camerer. They were married in 1940 in Oklahoma City.

Age 92, a long time resident of Vashon Island and Seattle, died peacefully in her sleep on September 7, 2006. Beloved wife of William V. Ralkowski, preceding her in death on October 30 of 1962. Ethel was a devoted mother to three children, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Their family home on Dolphin Beach, Vashon Island, provided a wonderful environment to raise their sons and daughter, who learned to live life to the fullest, and to love people from all walks of life. Ethel graduated from the University of Washington in 1935 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art.

Dorothy L. Mangan Healy passed away after a long battle with cancer. Dorothy and her children would like to thank everyone for all their help, love and support over the years. She leaves behind her son Bryan Mangan, wife Colleen and grandchildren Caitlin of South Bend, Indiana. Also daughters Susan and Laurel Mangan and granddaughter Shantel Fashaw of Seattle. We would like to thank Dr. Bonnie Takasuki and her wonderful staff and a special thanks to Barbara Briggs and her staff at Highline Hospice. Per her request no services will be held.

Avril M. Lore, nationally and internationally respected Girl Scout for over 63 years and a member of the Friends of Our Cabana in Mexico died unexpectedly September 6th . Avril was instrumental in securing funds for the Our Cabana (Our House) in Mexico. She also helped in finding funds for Girl Scout troops to travel internationally. She was proud to be a Lifetime Member of the Girl Scouts.

Avril was also well-known and loved as a Life Guard and swimming instructor at Evergreen Pool, a career she began at age 58.

Survived by his wife of 23 years, Marcia, daughters Linda (Paul) Wallace, Lisa (Dan) Wallace-Baker, step children Michael Sipes, Nora (Andy) Scully, Carolyn (Sean) McCarty, granddaughters Madeline Baker, Anna Schmid, step-grandchildren Owen, Tom & Alec Scully, Fiona & Liam McCarty, cousins Joyce Ways, Marylen (Maurice) Fitzgerald, Richard Powers and their families.

Neil was born in Omaha Nebraska to parents Dale & Ethyl "Dixie" Wallace.
