Louise Eileen Lousen Leskovar
June 30, 1920 - December 26, 2008
Louise E. Leskovar passed away on December 26, 2008 in
West Seattle. She was surrounded by her family as she
went to be with the Lord. Louise was born on June 30,
1920 in Great Falls, Montana to John and Louise (Mihelich)
Lousen, and was the only girl in a family of six
children. The family moved to Butte, Montana where she
graduated from Girls Central High School and worked at
Commercial Credit. In 1941, Louise married her
sweetheart, Ed Leskovar. Shortly after, the couple moved
to Seattle where Ed was employed with the Boeing Company
for 41 years. Although family came first for Louise, she
found time to be active in various organizations including
Boy Scouts, Catholic Childhood, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority,
and the Westside Wheelers square dance club.
Additionally, Louise was employed throughout the years in
a number of occupations, the last of which was as a
licensed real estate agent. Louise enjoyed family and
family gatherings, traveling, square dancing, playing
cribbage, and time spent at her cabin on Hood Canal.
Louise was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65
years, Edward, and youngest daughter, Lisa. Her heart-
felt love and concern for others will be missed by those
who survive her. Children - John (Geri) Leskovar, Mary
Lou (Chuck) Paulson, Carol (Bob) Marshall, Ron Leskovar,
Randy (Mary) Leskovar and Janel Leskovar. Grandchildren:
Mike (Lisa) Leskovar, Cheryl (Gil) Pena, Karen (Joe)
Keyser, Jennifer (Brandon) Kem, Teresa (Jeff) Bettger,
Michelle Leskovar, Kayla Leskovar and Paul Leskovar.
Great grandchildren: Trinity Kem, Octavia Bettger,
Belladona Bettger, and Gabriel Pena.
A memorial mass will be held at 11am on January 26, 2009
at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in West Seattle. In lieu
of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Holy
Rosary Catholic Church or Providence Mt. St. Vincent.
