Kenneth L. Wilson

Ken was born on January 3, 1922 in Shelton, Washington to Lyle and Ruby (McMullen) Wilson. He was raised in Shelton and graduated from Irene S. Reed High School in 1939. He then attended the University of Washington graduating with a degree in civil engineering. Ken was married to Patricia Schuler in Shelton in 1943. They moved to Seattle where Ken worked for a variety of companies as and engineer and retired from ABKJ Company as their chief engineer in 1985. He and Pat moved back to Shelton following his retirement. Pat preceded him in death in 1993. Ken was later married to Wanda Lahn in 1999. They lived in Shelton until recently moving to the Olympia area. Ken loved to sail and listen to jazz music. Photography was his passion. He won many awards for his black and white photographs. He will be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by them and his countless friends. Ken passed away in Olympia on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his wife, Wanda of Olympia, two daughters, Pam Kleyman of North Hollywood, California, Paige and Vern Gibson of Seattle, Washington, one son: Kenneth B. and Marilyn Wilson of Shelton, two step sons, Jerry of Sekui, Washington and P.R. of Olympia, Washington, two step daughters, Sherry of Ollalla, Washington and Kelsey of Peublo, CO. Seven grandchildren, Shana Kleyman, Vanessa Foote, Kenneth M. Wilson, Emily and (Beau) Waters, Spencer Foote, David Wilson, and Megan Wilson, eight step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren, Brother, Mac and Barb Wilson of Grapeview, Washingotn. Memorial services will be held at Hope Chapel, 421 West "E" St. Shelton, Washington on Thursday, February 23, 2006 beginning at 1 p.m. Internment will be held at the Shelton Memorial Park.
