Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Robison

Beth, 90, died on Feb. 17, 2009, in Edmonds, WA. She was born on Sept. 24, 1918, in Walla Walla, WA, the eldest child of Edison Cochran and Agnes Myrtle Mangan.

She attended Washington State University, spent her career working in Seattle, and retired as a bookkeeper from the law firm Davis, Wright & Tremaine. She loved to travel and during her life owned beautiful homes in West Seattle, WA, Phoenix, AZ, Folsom, CA and Port Angeles, WA.

She married Ted Clark Best in 1941, and her second husband was Mayo Carson Robison. Both of her husbands preceded her in death. In addition to her parents, two siblings, Earl Cochran and Dorothy Day, and her daughter, Lorelle Best, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children Mary Sue Williams of Bothell, WA, Edward Best of Mukilteo, WA and Elizabeth Taylor of Edmonds, WA; sisters Louise Cochran of Citrus Heights, CA and Janet Ericksen of Atherton, CA; brothers Joe Cochran of Spokane, WA, Keith Cochran of Walla Walla, WA, Bob Cochran of Salem, OR, Don Cochran of Mercer Island, WA, and Jerry Cochran of Roseville, CA; grandchildren Karen Rosenzweig, Cheryl Krueger, Ross Taylor, Bryce Taylor and Ashley Best; and great-grandchildren Joshua and Nathan Krueger.

The family extends our profound thanks and sincere blessings to the staff at A Kind Heart adult family home in Edmonds, for their dedicated and loving care of Beth in her final few years, and to Providence Hospice for their wonderful care.

A service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Parish in West Seattle, 4139 42nd Ave. S.W. and the burial will be Tuesday, Feb. 24 at noon at Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Seattle, 6701 30th Ave. S.W.
