 <title>West Seattle Community Orchestra&#039;s Debut and Intermediate Orchestras perform</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;The West Seattle Community Orchestra&#039;s Debut and Intermediate Orchestras will perform, tomorrow, &lt;strong&gt;March 27 at 6:30 pm at Highland Park Elementary thanks for a 4Culture grant from King County&lt;/strong&gt;. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;WSCO’s yearly Outreach Concert – this year taking place on March 27th at 6:30 pm at Highland Park Elementary School.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Highland Park&#039;s own music teacher and WSCO Debut Orchestra conductor, Daniel Hershmann -Rossi will lead his group through four pieces including Offenbach&#039;s Can Can and Handel&#039;s Sarabande. Toni Reineke, Intermediate Orchestra conductor PhD along with assistant conductor Anton Coleman will lead their group through Smith&#039;s Rites of Tamburo, Sousa&#039;s Stars and Strips Forever along with several other pieces. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Concert is free to all, donations gladly accepted at the door to support Highland Park&#039;s music program; a bake sale sponsored by the Highland Park PTA also benefits school programs.&lt;/p&gt;

 Northwest Symphony Orchestra announces the next concert in its 2011 – 2012  season- (entitled 25X125- 25th Anniversary Season X 125 Northwest works performed).  Concert features works by Northwest composers Gloria Swisher, Huntley Beyer and Nathan Johnson.  Details are as follows:&lt;/p&gt;

   World Premiere&lt;br /&gt;
Concerto for Flute and Orchestra – Gloria Wilson Swisher&lt;br /&gt;
   Merrie Siegel, soloist&lt;br /&gt;
A Tall Tale – Nathan Johnson&lt;br /&gt;
   With students from Madison Middle School and Westside Symphonette&lt;br /&gt;
Symphony #4 – Johannes Brahms&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;ABOUT NORTHWEST SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Now in its twenty-fifth season, the NWSO will perform 10 works by local northwest composers during the season - 7 are world premieres.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The unprecedented milestone of performing 125 works by local northwest composers in 25 years has garnered not only local, but nation and international attention.  As such, the NWSO has received seven national awards for Programming of Contemporary Music from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, including a first place national award in 2007. The orchestra has been featured repeatedly on National Public Radio and has recorded four compact disks.  Dr. Anthony Spain is Music Director.&lt;br /&gt;
The NWSO has performed with a variety and eclectic mix of internationally known artists including Alice In Chains, Anne and Nancy Wilson of Heart, Joshua Roman and Natalie Cole.&lt;br /&gt;
